Why choose hemlock?
Canadian Hemlock is an excellent choice for sauna construction due to its natural durability and resistance to heat and moisture. It features a fine, uniform grain and smooth texture, making it comfortable to sit against without splintering. The wood emits a mild, pleasant aroma when heated, enhancing the sensory experience without being overpowering. Additionally, it remains cool to the touch even in high temperatures, ensuring user comfort. Its aesthetic appeal—pale color with subtle reddish-brown tones—adds a touch of natural elegance to any sauna.
FSC-Certified Materials
We are proud to announce that the raw materials of our products are FSC certified.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international discussion platform. Although its members come from different interest groups, they all pursue one goal: fair use of the world's forests. Chain of Custody certification shows that every company in the product chain ensures that FSC certified materials are always identifiable, from the forest to the final customer.

Is there a sauna protocol I should follow?
Proper sauna use is important; just like we warm up and cool down our bodies when we exercise, there are some basic steps to follow to ensure you gain maximum benefits of using a sauna.
Before Sauna Use:
Drink a minimum of 8 oz. of water to prepare your body for an increase in core body temperature.
Prep your sauna: Pre-heat your sauna for 15 minutes. Your sauna will heat up approximately one degree per minute, depending on room temperature.
Lay down towels on the bench to absorb sweat. It’s also nice to have an extra around to wipe your face during sessions.
During Sauna Use:
Watch your time: Make sure to adjust your session length in accordance to your body’s needs. If you are just beginning with regular sauna use. We recommend beginning with 10-15 minute sessions at 100°F every other day. Gradually increase toward 40 minute daily sessions in the optimal temperature range. Always listen to your body and adjust based on what it’s telling you.
Stick with it for long-term benefits: Just as with exercise or eating healthy, sauna use takes time and consistency to see results. You may not even sweat the first few times you use your sauna, but know that sweating (and the detox that comes with it) will increase over time, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and healthy.
After Sauna Use:
Rehydrate with at least 24 oz. of water or electrolyte drink.
Dry off and cool down naturally, or with a refreshing shower.
Keep it clean: Using towels on the bench to absorb sweat and excess moisture will help keep your sauna clean during regular use. Clean the wood and glass in your sauna every six months with our Natural Sauna Cleaning Kit.
How long is a typical session, and how often can I take a session?
Most people partake in a 30-45 minute session, 3-4 times a week, but it is safe to use every day and at whatever heat suits you best.
How long will it take for my sauna to heat up?
HEAL ™ Sauna with unique Rapid Internal Heating System™. Set to the desired temperature and allow the sauna to warm up for 10-15 minutes.
How do I clean my sauna?
HEAL ™ Sauna Cleaner is made specifically for use with your sauna. At least every six months, dampen a cloth with Healthlighten All Natural Wood Cleaner. Clean glass door and windows with Healthlighten All Natural Glass Cleaner. You may dust the outside of the sauna with a dry dust cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners on your sauna. Light sandpaper can be used to treat stains on the inside of the sauna. Healthlighten Natural Sauna Cleaning Kit can be purchased at the Healthlighten Online Store or through your local dealer.
How will my sauna be delivered?
We offer a variety of shipping options, including curbside delivery (free), white-glove service (shipping to customer-specified location), and installation. Different options have different prices. Customers can choose their shipping method on the checkout page.
We unpack the sauna and place it in a wooden box. The wooden box is reinforced and anti-fall. We will compensate for any damage during transportation free of charge.
Are children allowed to use the sauna?
The core body temperature of children rises much faster than adults. This occurs due to a higher metabolic rate per body mass, limited circulatory adaptation to increased cardiac demands and the inability to regulate body temperature by sweating. When using your sauna with a child, operate at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time. A general rule of thumb is 1 minute inside your sauna per year of age for the child, but always accompanied by an adult. And remember to keep you and your children hydrated, even if you don’t see them sweating.
How much will the sauna cost to run a month?
The sauna runs on the same wattage as a blow dryer and will cost little to run monthly: typically 15 to 35 cents per hour. This varies with the model and local utility cost. Your utility company can help you understand a more exact per hour cost if needed.
Can I take my cell phone into the sauna?
Just as you would not leave your cell phone in your car on a hot day, we do not recommend taking cells phones, Apple watches or other electronics in the sauna. The electronics that are built into the sauna are designed for a heated environment.
Will my HEAL™ sauna heat up the room in which it is placed?
No. Because HEAL™ saunas have double-wall re-enforcement, thicker wood than the industry standard and Magne-Seal assembly to create a better heat seal, when your sauna is on you will still not feel heat coming off the exterior walls.
New research shows that using an steam saunas will help you...
Steam sauna is an ancient health practice that has been used in many cultures for thousands of years. Modern scientific research has validated various health benefits of steam saunas. This report will explore these benefits in detail, citing relevant literature for support.
1. Improvement in Cardiovascular Health
Enhanced Blood Circulation
Steam sauna can improve cardiovascular health by promoting blood circulation. The high-temperature environment causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow. Laukkanen et al.'s study indicates that regular sauna use is significantly associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases. The study shows that sauna bathing increases heart rate and blood flow, lowers blood pressure, and thus reduces the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Reduction in High Blood Pressure
Research has also shown that steam sauna has a significant effect on lowering high blood pressure. Kokko et al.'s study found that regular sauna bathing can significantly reduce blood pressure levels in patients with untreated hypertension, bringing them closer to normal ranges.
2. Stress Relief and Mental Health Improvement
Promotion of Endorphin Release
The high-temperature environment of steam saunas can promote the release of endorphins, which are natural painkillers and mood elevators. Gerber et al.'s research demonstrates that steam sauna effectively reduces stress and anxiety, improving overall mood.
Improvement in Sleep Quality
Steam sauna can also improve sleep quality by relaxing the body and mind. Harviainen et al.'s study shows that sauna bathing can increase the duration of deep sleep, thereby enhancing overall sleep quality.
3. Detoxification and Skin Health Enhancement
Cleansing of Pores and Detoxification
Steam sauna helps the body detoxify through sweating, which cleanses the pores and reduces skin problems. Uehara et al.'s research indicates that sweating is a crucial pathway for skin detoxification, effectively reducing toxins and pollutants on the skin.
Increased Skin Blood Flow
The high-temperature environment of steam saunas also increases blood flow to the skin, promoting skin health. Pilch et al.'s study reveals that sauna bathing significantly elevates skin temperature and blood flow, improving skin elasticity and glow.
4. Relief of Muscle and Joint Pain
Relaxation of Tense Muscles
Steam sauna is highly effective in relieving muscle and joint pain. The high temperature helps relax tense muscles, reducing inflammation and pain. Kukkonen-Harjula et al.'s study shows that steam sauna is particularly beneficial for patients with chronic pain and arthritis, significantly reducing pain levels.
Promotion of Healing and Recovery
Steam sauna can also promote muscle recovery and healing after exercise. Research indicates that sauna bathing can accelerate the healing process of muscles and tissues by increasing blood flow and oxygen supply.
Conclusion
In conclusion, steam sauna offers various health benefits, including improving cardiovascular health, relieving stress and enhancing mental health, promoting detoxification and skin health, and relieving muscle and joint pain. Regular use of steam sauna can be an effective health management tool, contributing to an overall higher quality of life.
